Meet The Founder

Hello! I'm Maxie, the founder of dzough. My passion for health and wellness inspired me to create this brand. Having battled an eating disorder since the age of 15, I know first hand the challenges that come with poor eating habits and compromised mental health. However, after 13 years, I am more motivated than ever to share my story and demonstrate that it is possible to overcome these struggles. By challenging yourself daily and pursuing what feels good, you too can conquer your demons.
dzough has provided me with an opportunity to unleash my creativity through the exploration of health-conscious ingredients. Our unique flavors may raise eyebrows, as some incorporate toppings that are not typically associated with guilt-free or healthy treats. It's natural to have reservations, and I empathize because I would have shared the same concerns. However, I invite you to embrace the philosophy of "moderation is key." In the past, I grappled with the concept of moderation, often resorting to complete abstinence from certain foods. Yet, this approach had its own set of challenges. It made returning to these indulgences all the more difficult, often resulting in overindulgence. At dzough, we have redefined moderation. We meticulously select and apply toppings with precision, ensuring that you receive the perfect amount to satisfy both your sweet tooth and your conscience.

dzough has not only allowed me to express my culinary creativity through our dough, but has also introduced me to an incredible community. dzough was born in March 2023, we are still in our infancy and on a path of growth. The future fills me with anticipation, and I eagerly await the exciting developments that lie ahead. Together, we will embark on a journey of culinary exploration and responsible indulgence.

XOXO, Maxie Mottlowitz
